Teamwork is a collaborative space that allows CME to work alongside you to get your project off the ground.

We use Teamwork to manage all the elements of your project that need our support and make sure they’re delivered on time.

Below, we're broken down all the different functions of a Teamwork project to help you feel more confident using this system. If you've got any questions about Teamwork, please don't hesitate to contact the Help Desk 😊

List

The 'List' area is where you'll find all the tasks related to your project. These tasks will be created by members of the CME team based on types of support you've requested.

Tasks are sorted into 'Task Lists', which display here in the 'List' area. These 'Task Lists' are used to keep projects organised by grouping similar or dependent tasks together – i.e. anything related to promotion, such as assets or copy, will live in the same list.

You can access individual 'Task Lists' via the left-side menu:

On a 'Task List', you'll be able to view:

  • Task names
  • Tags to indicate which team tasks belong to (i.e. #comms, #design etc.)
  • The name of the person who is responsible for each task (either from CME or your department)
  • Whether the task has any dependencies (i.e. whether any other tasks are relying on it being completed before they can be started or vice versa)
  • Task due dates
  • Task status (i.e. up next, in review etc.)
Individual tasks also contain a comment thread that you can use to chat with CME or where we might seek your advice/input on a certain task:

When using the 'Comments' section on tasks, you must tag the person you want to chat to using the '@' function, otherwise they won't be notified of your message.

Board

The 'Board' is a visual representation of the progress on your project. All of the tasks on project will appear on the 'Board', sorted into columns by the CME teams based on their progress status.

We organise tasks into 5 categories:

  • Up Next: The task is about to be started or is next in the queue.
  • In Progress: The task has been started and is currently being worked.
  • Blocked/Pending Further Input: The task is being blocked by another dependent task not being completed or requires your input before it can proceed further.
  • In Review: The task has been started and is in review (i.e. design concepts).
  • Completed: The task is completed.

Milestones

If there are any important dates or deadlines on your project, we'll track them in the 'Milestones' area.

For each milestone, you'll be able to see who is responsible for ensuring that milestone is met (both from CME and your department) and how many days until it's due.

Table

'Table' is a slight variation of the 'List' and 'Board' views. It displays all the same information about your tasks, just in a grid rather than a list or board. It's completely up to you which view you'd prefer to use – pick whichever works best for your brain!

Files

If there are any files needed for your project – i.e. design assets, compliance paperwork etc. – you can find this under the 'Files' tab. Files are organised into relevant categories to make them easier for you to find.

Links

Similar to 'Files', if there are any important links relevant to your project, you can find under the 'Links' section for ease of access.

Dashboard

The 'Dashboard' is generally only relevant to members of CME, as we use it for internal reporting and tracking. However, you can also use the 'Dashboard' view to get an overview of all the elements of across your project if you'd like.
