Maintaining our physical and mental health is important for everyone – including when we are at work!

We've collected a bunch of handy hints to help you through the tough times. Everyone's needs and circumstances are different, so find what works best for you:

  • Prioritise self-care: Take regular breaks, eat nutritious meals, and get enough sleep.
  • Build a positive work/life balance: Set boundaries and make time for hobbies and activities outside of work. This can help prevent burnout and maintain a healthy work/life balance.
  • Stay connected: Build relationships with your colleagues and create a supportive work environment. This can help reduce stress and improve overall wellbeing.
  • Be aware of stressors: Identify factors that may be causing stress in the workplace and take steps to address them. This may include speaking with a supervisor or seeking support through the employee assistance program.
  • Schedule breaks and take them as planned: it is important to avoid overworking and taking on too much as it can lead to burnout, mistakes and decrease in job satisfaction.
  • Encourage others to take care of themselves: Lead by example and encourage your colleagues to prioritise self-care and wellbeing.
  • Maintain good communication: clear and timely communication can help avoid misunderstandings and conflicts.
  • Manage workload and expectations: Set realistic deadlines, delegate tasks, and take on only what you can handle.
  • Check your workstation: Make sure your workstation is set up to minimise strain on your body. This may include using positioning your monitor at eye level, and if you use a mouse and keyboard, make sure they fit your hand size.

Speak with your manager or team about your workload and any concerns you may have – they can help you prioritise tasks and provide support when needed.
