Questions to ask yourself before
starting
- Is your survey or form asking sensitive
questions and collating sensitive data?
Read more I want to create a
survey/form that collects data. What
do I do?
- Did you need to collect the info in a
spreadsheet? Use a
website survey. Eg Expression of
Interest.
- Did you just want the forms sent
immediately to your inbox. NB does not
save the info onto the website. The email
is the only
response. Use a
website form. Eg Contact Us form. Read
more here
- Does your survey/form ask conditional
questions? Use
Typeform - CME can help with this.
Make a request through Help
Desk. For example, if you
answered yes, go to question 12. If
you answered no, go to question 15.
Eg. Student feedback.
What’s the difference between a survey and
a form?
A survey collects
the
information
into a PDF
or an
Excel file
for you.
It doesn’t
email you
the
responses.
You must
go into
the Survey
area on
the
website
and
download
it.
A form emails
you the
information
directly.
It doesn’t
save any
information
on the
website.
The
information
goes
straight
to your
email
only.

How to create a form
Forms
differ
from
surveys in
that the
information
is emailed
to you and
there is
no
back-end
storage of
the form.
The email
address
that the
form is
sent to is
the only
record.
Please
let CME know
what page
you'd like
as a form
either by
email or
your
project.
Since a
form page
isn't the
'default'
layout our
website
uses,
we'll just
need to
adjust
some
settings
in the
website
backend
before you
can build
your page
out. Once
you've let
us know
which
pages
you'd like
as a form,
adjusting
these
settings
is a super
speedy
process so
you can
build out
your form
page in no
time!
